"A New series of knives, the Gifted Series"- Here's the 1st. "The Bull Shark - steel & handle material gifted to me & something new." This hidden-tang Belt/Utility Knife is forged from Japanese Suminagashi high steel (11 layers on each side with a core of Takefu "White Steel") gifted to me by another Maker. Aside from being fully etched to bring out the pattern, this blade has a file worked thumb rest and forge marked/acid soaked flats. This blade has a 3 5/8" cutting edge and is 7 5/8" overall, weighing in at 6.4 oz. The contoured handle is stabilized and cross-cut California Buckeye Burl wood with black G-10 tang liners secured with a matching black G-10 pin and lanyard liner (as a 2nd pin). This knife comes with a tooled/two-toned leather pouch sheath with a belt loop by Gerald Harper, Saddle Mountain Leather.
