This fully-quenched Field knife/Fighter is forged from 250+ layers of 1095/15n20/5160 high carbon steels forged into a "Running Waves" damascus pattern. This blade is hand rubbed and etched to bring out the damascus pattern as well as the contrast of the forge marked/acid soaked flats (the tang is also etched to see all of the patterning). The spine is beveled for comfort and the thumb rise allows for better control. This blade has a 5 3/4" cutting edge and is 10 3/4" overall, weighing in at 10.6 oz. The handle scales are A-grade Desert Ironwood Burl wood done in a "palm swell" style with Tiffany G-10 tang liners and are secured with a pair of mild steel J-bolts (handle bolts) with a mosaic "Lone Star" center accent pin.. This knife comes with a fully tooled/carved & two-toned leather pouch sheath with a tooled belt loop by Gerald Harper, Saddle Mountain Leather.
