This full tang Bowie/Utility blade is forged from W1 high carbon steel with an edge- quenched and etched blade to bring out the Hamon or "quench lines" in the hand-rubbed bevels. This piece also has a file worked thumb rest and forge marked/acid soaked flats along with a beveled clip. This blade has a 7 3/4" cutting edge and is 12 1/2" overall, weighing in at 8.9 oz. The steel tang is etched as well. The composite handle scales on this knife are a mix of African Blackwood/G-10/stabilized acrylics, done in a "palm swell" style and secured with black G-10 pins and a matching lanyard liner (as a 3rd pin). This knife comes with a fully tooled/textured leather pouch sheath with a belt loop by Gerald Harper, Saddle Mountain Leather.
