This blade has etched\/hand rubbed bevels to show the Hamon or quench lines in the blade and also has forge marked\/acid soaked flats for contrast and a beveled spine and corners for comfort in use. There is also a thumb rise for control. This blade has a 6 1\/8\" cutting edge and is 11 1\/4\" overall, weighing in at 9.5oz. The steel tang is etched as well to bring out all of the steel patterning\/Hamon. The handle scales are stabilized, A-grade Spalted Maple wood done in a \"palm swell\" style with grey G-10 tang liners and are secured with a pair of mild steel J-bolts (handle bolts) with a mosaic center accent pin.
